This week's Friday Round Up comes to you from Sydney's Head On Photo Festival which opens nowadays and runs till 23 June with greater than 200 exhibitions, 900 photographers and over 100 galleries collaborating on this city-huge birthday party of pictures. The State Library NSW performs host to the principle featured exhibitions within the Festival. In addition to Lowy's iAfghanistan, is Magnum on Set, pictures from iconic film units which includes a fantastic series of images of Marilyn Monroe by Elliott Erwitt at the set of the Seven Year Itch. Head On opens this night at 6pm at TAFE Ultimo. The establishing ceremony includes the declaration of the winners of the Head On Portrait Prize, Head Off Landscape Prize and Head On Momento Photobook Award.
